Ingredients:
• 8 oz macaroni pasta
• 2 tablespoons butter
• 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
• 2 cups milk
• 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
• 1/2 cup Lorraine's Premium BBQ Sauce Original flavor
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Optional topping: breadcrumbs
Instructions:
• Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
• Cook the macaroni pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
• In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour to create a roux, cooking for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden.
• Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
• Reduce the heat to low and add the shredded cheddar cheese to the sauce, stirring until melted and smooth.
• Stir in Lorraine's Premium BBQ Sauce Original flavor until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
• Add the cooked macaroni pasta to the cheese sauce, stirring until the pasta is evenly coated.
• Transfer the mac and cheese mixture to the prepared baking dish. If desired, sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top for a crunchy topping.
• Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mac and cheese is bubbly and golden on top.
• Serve the BBQ Mac and Cheese hot as a delicious and comforting side dish or main course.
